THE KNITTING NOOK STORY

Founded by avid knitter and yarn stasher, Heather Laurie. The Knitting Nook is a place for community and craft. Our mission is to create a community through knitting. 

Like any knitting project, The Knitting Nook began as a simple idea. Wanting to share her love of knitting with others, Heather dreamed of opening her own yarn shop, where anyone could learn and create and experience amazing and personal service.

The Knitting Nook in Dural is now open and we have launched online! We will have comfy chairs, a coffee machine and an iPad, so you can relax while searching Ravelry for your favourite patterns to purchase yarn for.

Sourcing amazing yarn from Indie dyers and small businesses mostly in Australia, The Knitting Nook is proud to be a part of building a warm and inclusive crafting community.

Every day, we help both new and experienced knitters hone their craft by offering the best supplies and a welcoming space to create.
